Cavalier Vitaliano Salice founded his company in Musso in 1919. Initially they produced spectacle cases, but soon, after realizing the great risks faced by workers in the marble quarries nearby, the cavalier decided to start making protective work glasses.
The company became so specialized that in World War II it was chosen as a supplier of protective eyewear to the army. With great foresight they also embarked on the road to sports production, and it was the 1970s that brought the company great worldwide success, thanks to the growing popularity of winter sports and the successes of great champions such as Thoeni, Gros, and De Chiesa.
The Salice brand soon began to accompany these winning athletes on podiums around the world, so much so that Salice glasses immediately became synonymous with success.
Even today the company is one of the leading companies in the industry and a true excellence of Made in Italy.
