Vineyards tour: discovering the wine Domasino
Let's explore an itinerary among the vineyards where the typical Lake Como wine, Domasino, is produced.
tarting from the Church San Bartolomeo, with your backs to the main door of the building, you head to the right along Regina Road. Pass the soccer field remaining on the Strada Regina until you reach the bend at the end. Here you leave the paved road and take a mule track that climbs to the right of two white garages.
The path is slightly steep but very picturesque: walking for about 5 minutes through vineyards, you will come out on the Strada Regina again.
We are now at the hamlet of Pozzolo where the view opens up wonderfully 180° over the lake and Valtellina!
We follow the road and on the right we can already admire the vineyards and the beautiful garden of the Sorsasso farm: here you can stop to taste (or simply buy) typical products and their local wines, including the famous Domasino wine.
If you continue straight on the road Località Pozzuolo, heading to the hamlet of Gaggio, you will be accompanied the whole time by a stunning panorama.
After about 500 meters you will see on the right the Cantine Angelinetta, a family-run farm producing typical wines of the lake. Here, too, you can buy local products and book a visit to the winery and a wine tasting.
When you are finally satisfied and ready to return to the village, take the mule track next to the madonnina, located in front of the Cantine. The route back is now evident, and it will leave you surprised thanks to a continuous succession of stupendous views of the lake, until you reach a fork: going right you continue towards Gravedona; going left you return to the starting point by walking along the typical and rustic streets that surround the village.
We recommend taking the route on the right for about 200 meters to enjoy a fabulous viewpoint, and then turning back: you will not regret it.
