Il Tempio Voltiano di Como
Its specific function is to preserve the importance Alessandro Volta’s relics; not only those few items that were rescued from the fire that broke out during the Volta Exhibition, in 1899, but also all the memories somehow linked to the great scientist physicist and his life in Como.
The building was built is a work on a project by Arch. Federico Frigerio (1873 – 1959). It is nearer to the Palladian style, with a reference to New-Romanesque, than to the Lombard neoclassic style and it results rather unrelated to the rest of the town.
