Located in Pianello del Lario (CO), in a splendid 19th-century silk factory, the MBL, Lake Como International Museum of vintage Boat preserves a unique nautical collection.
Hundreds of historical boats including rowing boats, gondolas, work boats, pleasure and racing motorboats, sailboats, fishing and hunting boats and even smuggling boats are preserved in the museum rooms and storerooms.
From the ancient Romans to the present day, the boats tell us of ordinary and extraordinary lives, the memory of a marvellous Italy that must not be forgotten and can be a stimulus for future generations.
